Reporting to the Head of Technology & Innovation, you’ll ensure our geospatial solutions run smoothly, meet the highest standards, and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. You’ll partner with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery of impactful digital solutions and supporting the ongoing evolution of our geospatial practice. Produce and oversee client deliverables, including high-quality figures, maps, and analytical outputs for print and online/interactive use. Apply analytical methods using R (and/or Python) for spatial data analysis, visualisation, and reporting. Support the design, implementation, and documentation of geospatial data management systems, including data warehousing and BI solutions. Assist in the continuous improvement and automation of internal processes to drive project efficiencies and quality. Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and technical libraries for geospatial deliverables. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and analysts to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary project outcomes. Support the definition and management of geospatial systems architecture, working with both ESRI and open-source GIS tools (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS). Participate in business development activities, such as preparing scopes, budgets, and supporting proposals. Mentor and support junior staff, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering professional growth. Highly desirable professional skills you will bring to the team 8 years of experience in a similar role. Experience producing high-quality geospatial figures and outputs using ESRI/QGIS software. Proficiency in analytical methods, with strong skills in R for spatial analysis (Python experience is a plus). Experience in database management and analytics (e.g., ESRI SDE, Postgres/PostGIS, MSSQL). Familiarity with web maps, dashboards, and data visualisation tools (e.g., ArcGIS Maps SDK, Power BI, Open Source). Effective written and verbal communication, strong organisational and analytical skills. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills. Understanding of geospatial systems management and architecture. Previous consulting experience is ideal but not required.
