About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Butcher to join our team in Australia. This role is open to onshore applicants only . You will be responsible for selecting, cutting, trimming, preparing, and arranging meat for sale or supply, operating meat and smallgoods processing machines, and ensuring the production of high-quality smallgoods. Key Responsibilities: Prepare meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing, or grinding meat to shape and size for display or customer orders. Prepare crumbed cuts of meat, marinate, season, and cure special cuts. Select and prepare meat to produce smallgoods. Operate machines for grinding, mixing, mincing, and tenderizing meat. Prepare seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt, and other ingredients. Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, cooking kettles, and vats. Advise customers on the suitability and uses of different cuts of meat. Assist in menu planning, scheduling, and estimating food production costs (where required). Requirements: Demonstrated experience in butchery or smallgoods preparation. Knowledge of Australian food safety standards and meat handling procedures. Strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Applicants must be currently located in Australia.
