About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel / Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of diesel-powered and light vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, petrol engines, and related vehicle systems. Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and safety checks. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. Repair or replace worn or faulty parts, including brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems. Conduct road tests to verify repairs and performance. Conduct monthly, quarterly & yearly inspection as part of the code of practice mandated by the department of planning, transport & infrastructure Maintain accurate service records and job documentation. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary tools and parts. Skills & Qualifications Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle / Diesel) or equivalent. Proven experience as a diesel or light vehicle mechanic. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current driver’s licence (LR, HR or MR licence desirable). Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. What We Offer Above award hourly rate based on experience.
