The role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis for a 12–month contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including but not limited to: Managing accounts payable and receivable, including precise and timely invoicing, payment allocations, reconciliations, and banking Monitoring and actioning all accounts emails and telephone queries while providing excellent customer service Working collaboratively with all departments to resolve any customer queries, billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner. Maintaining accurate accounting records. Preparing monthly reports. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Skills And Experiences Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (Australian based qualification). Essential: Minimum of 3 years’ local experience in an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable role. Proven experience using Xero accounting software. Competencies: Above average verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently with flexibility and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills. Above average interpersonal skills. Above average numerical skills. Average problem-solving and abstract reasoning skills. Proven attention to detail. Fluent and clear English communication skills. Desirable: Experience with payroll and superannuation processing. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
