Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Services team at Mercer Pacific. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Investment Services Senior Analyst will support the effective management of risk and governance within the Investment Services team while executing key activities related to investment operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational risks, implement robust controls, and promote best practices to uphold the integrity and efficiency of investment operations. We will count on you to: Regularly produce, review, and deliver timely and accurate risk and governance monitoring for Mercer Investments Australia (MIAL) and associated Mercer Funds for Board reports. Conduct risk assessments and control attestations within Investment Services and analyse processes to identify significant risks and controls. Collaborate with organisational lines of defence including Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, and Vendor Management teams. Assess and manage incidents, working with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive measures. Prepare, review, and implement policies and procedures related to Investment Services ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Assist with fund establishment, terminations, investment manager transitions, and liaise with custodians on account setups and closures. What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field. Experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with an audit firm, fund manager, or custodian. Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulations, especially relating to superannuation. Experience reviewing and documenting processes and procedures.
