In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of robust enterprise risk and compliance frameworks across the group, ensuring a consistent and effective approach. You will provide expert guidance and support to the business, helping to manage risks and compliance obligations in alignment with the Board’s risk appetite. Additionally, you will support the delivery of second-line-of-defence programs focused on examining and assessing the effectiveness of SJGHC’s enterprise risk management, compliance, privacy, insurance, resilience, governance, and whistleblowing processes. As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will: Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of SJGHC’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), compliance, and business resilience frameworks, including their implementation, monitoring, and revision. Assist stakeholders in identifying, assessing, and managing risks, obligations, and controls to align with regulatory requirements and the approved risk appetite. Monitor the implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, perform control testing, and identify opportunities for improvement across hospitals and services. Analyse incidents and breaches to recommend improvements that enhance patient and client outcomes. Support privacy impact assessments, insurance program enhancements, and preparation of reports for operational and governance committees. Provide guidance to caregivers to strengthen their understanding of risk and compliance requirements and foster partnerships that add value across the organisation. To excel in this role, you will bring a strong understanding of risk management and compliance principles, supported by at least three (3) years of experience in enterprise risk management or compliance. Ideally, you will have experience implementing framework improvements in risk and/or compliance, preferably within the health sector. A current driver’s license is also required. You will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and manage competing priorities to deliver within deadlines. Your innovative and flexible approach, coupled with analytical and conceptual abilities, will enable you to work effectively under broad direction while exercising sound independent judgment. Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems and reporting, privacy, or business resilience is highly desirable.
