About the role The role provides high-quality evidence-based psychology services as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers of Redcliffe Adult Mental Health Team (RAMHT), Metro North Mental Health - Redcliffe Caboolture (MNMH-RC) with severe and complex mental health disorders, their families and carers, and relevant stakeholders. Care is delivered with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a trauma-informed recovery framework. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Deliver competent level psychological services to individuals and groups of consumers with complex mental health and alcohol and other drug treatment needs based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice, ethical and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes. This includes: Provide psychological screening and assessments (including the use of specialised psychological measures such as self-report rating scales, personality inventories, intellectual, and cognitive assessment) to assist with diagnosis, formulation and treatment. Provision of timely psychological interventions within identified models of care, including the Recovery Framework. This may include the development and provision of individual and group based therapeutic programs (for example utilising frameworks related to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Referral and liaison with other healthcare services, government and community agencies including advocacy to promote consumer and family/carer identified needs to support the continuum of care.
