We’re looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to join a finance systems transformation program. This is a role embedded in end-to-end finance processes with a focus on budgeting and forecasting. You’ll work closely with Finance, Technology, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality requirements, user stories, and test artefacts that add real value across the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role - you’ll stay involved through testing, design, and delivery, ensuring the Finance systems meet business needs. Workday experience is a plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, producing business-focused L3 requirements and user stories Maintain requirements traceability, linking business needs through design, testing, and delivery Design test cases and stay actively involved in testing activities to ensure quality outcomes Produce and progressively hand over high-quality artefacts to the Finance and project teams Facilitate workshops and discussions with Finance and Technology stakeholders to drive alignment Support process improvement initiatives across budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Key Requirements Proven experience as a Business Analyst on finance systems or transformations Strong ability to write detailed L3 requirements, business-focused user stories, and maintain traceability Hands-on experience in test design and execution support Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and core finance processes Confident in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation Experience with Workday Finance is advantageous but not essential Why This Role Be part of a high-visibility finance systems transformation Hands-on, impactful BA role with real ownership of deliverables Opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and shape finance processes Hybrid work environment in Melbourne CBD 6-month extendable contract Get in touch now to find out more!
