PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Process Worker plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality processing of poultry products. Responsibilities include handling, grading, packing, and processing meat while maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines, and food safety regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Processing & Production: Perform a variety of meat processing tasks, including cutting, grading, deboning, and packing poultry. Rotate through different workstations, including packing, carton making, bird grading, and tub washing. Inspect poultry for quality, identifying defects such as bruises, broken bones, or missing internal parts. Operate and maintain processing equipment as required. Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and weighing of products per company specifications. Follow standard operating procedures to meet production targets and efficiency goals Quality Control & Compliance: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards, including HACCP requirements. Perform quality checks on meat products and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Maintain clean and hygienic work areas in compliance with sanitation protocols. Report any non-conforming products, equipment malfunctions, or food safety concerns. Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S): Follow all OH&S regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report safety hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly. Participate in safety training and adhere to safe work procedures to minimize risks. Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with supervisors, team members, and quality assurance personnel. Communicate effectively with colleagues and report issues to supervisors as needed. Adapt to different tasks and workstations as required by production demands.
