Company Overview A leading Australian financial services organisation, renowned for career development opportunities, is experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Specialist to join their team Role Overview This role will lead the support and enhancement of mainframe integration and middleware platforms. You'll play a critical part in enabling modern digital applications by securely exposing core mainframe services via z/OS Connect and WebSphere Application Server (WAS / Liberty). Key Responsibilities Configure, maintain, and support z/OS Connect server instances, including connection profiles and security settings Deploy and support REST APIs exposing CICS, IMS, and DB2 services Troubleshoot integration issues such as data conversion, special character handling, and ASCII/EBCDIC mismatches Monitor API performance and optimise throughput using SMF data and Splunk analytics Install, configure, and maintain WAS and WAS Liberty environments Manage application deployments including EAR/WAR packaging, JVM tuning, and environment configuration Troubleshoot connectivity issues between WAS, MQ, DB2, and z/OS Connect.
