Job Title: Project Manager - PMO Location: Sydney, 2000 Employment Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract About the Role BGIS is seeking a Project Manager - PMO to oversee complex, high-impact projects from initiation through to successful delivery. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with BGIS strategic objectives. The Project Manager will provide strong leadership, apply rigorous project governance, and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, managing risk, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities Plan, manage, and deliver complex projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with BGIS strategy, scope, schedule, and budget. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, providing direction, mentorship, and effective resource management. Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear updates, managing expectations, and supporting decision-making. Gather, analyse, and validate business and technical requirements; evaluate solution options and recommend best-fit approaches. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while ensuring adherence to PMO governance, policies, and standards. Monitor project performance against milestones, KPIs, budget, and benefits, and report to PMO leadership and steering committees. Ensure quality of deliverables and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices. Manage project financials, optimising costs and resource utilisation. Support change management, user adoption, training, and transition to business ownership for implemented solutions. Champion PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience and Qualifications 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in IT, delivering complex, cross-functional projects. Proven leadership experience managing project teams and engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels. Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and performance reporting. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana) and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent); Bachelor's degree in a related discipline desirable.
