About the Role Join us as we build a brand-new CFO Advisory capability under the guidance of a new partner in our Perth office. As part of this exciting local team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to help shape our local offering from the ground up while forming part of an existing national delivering. You will be supporting clients across both the public and private sectors as they develop, enhance, and transform their finance functions. Our focus is on delivering timely and high-quality financial information that is closely aligned with each client’s business goals. This role is dynamic, with every week presenting new challenges and opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Working collaboratively with clients to optimise or establish finance functions, aiming for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Applying your audit, business services, or commercial expertise to identify and address fundamental issues, driving change that goes beyond mere compliance. Engaging with senior leaders—such as CEOs, CFOs, and Board members—to develop governance structures that are robust and tailored to the organisation’s needs. Providing technical accounting guidance that aligns with the client’s commercial goals. Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, integrated solutions. Enhancing decision-making capabilities through improved financial information and streamlined processes. Supporting clients throughout their year-end Financial Reporting and Sustainability Reporting audit cycles. This position offers the chance to become a trusted advisor for our clients. At times, you may be embedded within a client’s finance team, allowing you to gain valuable, hands-on commercial experience. About You Proven experience in audit, business services, or commerce. CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion. A curious mind and a desire to work collaboratively within the team and with other teams across BDO. Motivated to make a difference and deliver value to clients.
