ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Indigeco is supporting a major federal Government organisation to recruit an EL1 Advisor to provide independent, specialist advice to an Independent Advisory Council and its First Nations Reference Group. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Provide independent, expert advice to an Advisory Council and First Nations Reference Group Write formal advice, discussion papers and reports in plain English Undertake research, analysis and planning to support evidence-based advice Facilitate advice working groups, steering groups and meetings Present advice and contribute to discussions in complex and sensitive environments Build strong, trusted relationships with council members, stakeholders and government representatives Support culturally safe engagement and accessible advisory processes Contribute to out-of-session meetings and prepare summary reports where required YOUR REQUIREMENTS Strong experience providing policy, advisory or specialist advice within government or complex environments Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS and disability policy, particularly for First Nations people Ability to write clear, accessible advice in plain English Strong research, critical thinking and analytical skills Experience working with advisory bodies, boards or reference groups Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating discussions Strong understanding of culturally safe practices and accessibility requirements Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a small specialist team YOUR PERKS Opportunity to influence nationally significant disability policy and advice Long-term labour-hire contract of up to 2 years Flexible working arrangements and location Meaningful work supporting First Nations voices and people with disability HOW TO APPLY If you are ready to use your expertise to make a real impact at a national level, we would love to hear from you.
