Power BI Report Developer Contingent Contract | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 WFH) We’re looking for an experienced Power BI Report Developer to join a large Queensland Government environment, supporting the development of a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool and delivering high-quality reporting and analytics that drive real decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust, scalable Power BI solutions , working with complex data, and partnering closely with stakeholders to turn data into insight. What You’ll Be Doing Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards Build automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort Develop complex data models using DAX, Power Query and Dataverse Integrate Power BI with the PPM tool and other enterprise systems Ensure strong data governance, security and quality standards Optimise report performance and scalability Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose analytics Produce clear documentation and support knowledge transfer What We’re Looking For Proven experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards Strong skills in DAX, Power Query and data modelling Experience integrating Power BI with other systems (e.g. PPM tools, SQL, Azure) Understanding of data governance, security and compliance Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills Experience delivering reporting solutions in complex or enterprise environments Working Arrangements Full-time contingent contract Based at Brisbane CBD head office 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH Contract through to 30 June 2026 with possible extension No weekend or public holiday work Important Eligibility Requirements Must not be currently employed by the Queensland Government (permanent or fixed-term) Must be willing to undergo Australian (and NZ if applicable) criminal history checks Travel to site is self-funded Why Apply?
