Our Youth & Community Service team empowers and inspires young visitors, providing a safe space to grow and be heard. About the role We're looking for someone special to join our team and make a real difference in young people's lives! You'll be supporting our amazing 'Streetgym' initiative, which brings exciting opportunities right to young people's doorsteps. This fantastic program helps 12 to 18-year-olds engage in fun activities in their own neighborhoods while working on their personal, social, and educational development. You'll also play a vital role in our Alternative Suspension program - a meaningful initiative that helps students who are facing educational challenges. We focus on addressing the root causes of disengagement, creating supportive pathways, and planning successful returns to school for students who are currently suspended or at risk of suspension. Here's what you'll be doing: Develop and implement engaging programs and activities Provide individual and group support to young people, addressing their needs and concerns Foster a safe and inclusive environment where all youth feel valued and respected Collaborate with other professionals, such as schools, local council, and community organisations, to provide comprehensive support Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth participation and progress Advocate for the rights and needs of young people within the community You'll be responsible for planning and delivering programs and activities that promote the well-being and growth of youth in the Western Sydney community. About you We're looking for someone whose passion is to positively impact young people's lives by helping them navigate challenges and achieve their potential. You're someone who loves creating supportive communities and fostering a sense of belonging among young people - and that's exactly what makes you perfect for this role!
