Powerstaff is partnering with a well-established national commercial construction company to recruit an experienced Project Engineer for a major project currently underway in Canberra. The Role As Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of multiple construction packages, working closely with the Project Manager to drive outcomes across program, cost, quality and safety. You will take ownership of packages from early works through to completion, ensuring smooth coordination across all stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Managing subcontractors and service suppliers to ensure timely, efficient and high-quality delivery Developing, maintaining and tracking construction programmes and schedules Supporting procurement strategies to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively Coordinating service trades and construction activities across the site Practicing value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Monitoring progress against project targets for time, cost, quality, safety and client satisfaction Supporting site-based HSE requirements and promoting a strong safety culture About You You will be a capable and proactive Project Engineer with experience working on large-scale commercial building projects and a strong understanding of construction delivery processes.
