Job Description As the Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the accounts are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. The role involves using problem solving in preparing tasks such as month end, balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss analysis, the verification and posting of transactions/journals to ledgers, and preparation of general ledger reconciliations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing and processing of month end journals within the specified timeframes Reviewing and analysing monthly financial accounts (profit and loss) Extracting and collating financial reports for monthly reporting packages Preparing balance sheet general ledger reconciliations Assisting with the annual and half year audits and reporting processes Providing support to internal stakeholders with queries and ad hoc requests Assisting with projects to improve financial reporting as well as the set-up and integration into the finance systems of new products and offerings, and documenting changes to processes and procedures Identifying and suggesting process improvements as required Any ad hoc tasks and projects as required by management Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: You will be CA/CPA qualified or part thereof Minimum 1.5 years’ accounting experience Preferable experience in financial accounting, including financial accounts preparation, and general ledger reconciliation Preferable experience working within a retail/similar environment Excellent personal communication and presentation skills, shown in the ability to communicate at all levels of the business Knowledge of Accounting Standards Proficient experience using Microsoft Office, specifically intermediate Excel skills capable of efficient use of formulas such as VLOOKUP, IF and use of pivot tables and filters Additional Information If you are interested in this exciting opportunity with us, please click apply and upload your CV.
