Sydney Paint Stripping is a Sydney-based company delivering high-quality outcomes across residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to support our architectural drafting, drawing coordination, and tender drawing review processes. Position: Architectural Draftsperson Minimum Experience Required: 1 year in an architectural drafting role Employment Type: Full-time Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation Location: Sydney, NSW Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Undertaking site measurements and surveys to verify existing conditions, constraints, and service locations prior to preparing drawings. Producing accurate architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, based on briefs, mark-ups, and site information. Preparing and maintaining architectural drawing packages, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across sets and revisions. Managing drawing revisions and document control (revision tracking, drawing registers, version control, transmittals). Coordinating with internal team members and external stakeholders (builders, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants) to resolve technical queries and drawing coordination matters. Producing 3D views / visualisations where required to communicate design intent and support internal coordination. Supporting tender workflows by reviewing drawings and scopes to assist with measured take-offs, quantity/material schedules, and scope breakdown summaries (as required). Assisting with RFQ documentation via tender platforms (EstimateOne, buy NSW) by preparing clarifications, reviewing drawings, and collating supporting project information. Ensuring drawings reflect relevant compliance considerations (NCC/BCA and applicable Australian Standards) where applicable to the scope. Applicant Requirements Minimum 1 year experience in architectural drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (SketchUp desirable). Strong attention to detail, drawing accuracy, and disciplined revision control. Ability to interpret construction information and communicate technical matters clearly. Strong time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines. Exposure to take-offs / schedules and tender platform workflows is highly regarded.
