About the role The role involves predominately working within a team to manage our clients' state forest operations maintaining sales permit conditions through to compliance checking against codes of practices, log grade quality, safety compliance, and general work standards. The role will also require working with other Forestry staff in our freehold operations as directed by the Resource Manager. The role will report to the Forestry Resource Manager. Tasks and Responsibilities Supervision of Clients' contractors South East 40 and 30 Western log grading Operational Harvesting Plan Assessment Sale area inspections Road management planning Liaise with Forestry on all matters associated with managing sale areas Training supplied for all the above Skills and Experience Logging experience preferred or the ability to learn. Physical fitness to enable effective completion of field-based work Understanding of QLD hardwood harvesting desirable. Ability to adopt and utilise technology and systems Weekly travel will be required. Successful applicant must be able to work as far as Injune in the West to Gympie in the East.
