About The Opportunity Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a Team Leader – Development Compliance to manage the building and planning compliance function within the Compliance Services branch. Reporting to the Manager Compliance Services, this role is responsible for leading the Development Compliance team to ensure development within the Bundaberg Region complies with relevant legislation, Council’s Planning Scheme, and development approvals. The position oversees investigations, monitoring, enforcement action, complaints management, and engagement with developers, consultants, and the public to achieve timely and appropriate compliance outcomes. The role requires a balanced approach to compliance, focusing on education and early resolution where possible, while effectively managing enforcement and legal processes when required. About You To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following mandatory requirements: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in development compliance or a related field. Qualifications in Local Government Compliance (Certificate IV) or equivalent. Demonstrated experience and sound working knowledge of: Planning Act 2016 Building Act 1975 Other legislation relevant to development compliance. Current Queensland Driver Licence.
