Reporting to the Director, Project Controls, the Assistant Director, Reporting plays a pivotal role in strengthening reporting capability within the Transport and Civil Division. The position is responsible for preparing complex project briefs and reports for roads infrastructure projects, including Ministerial content, constituent correspondence, and inter-governmental documentation. It also oversees the monitoring of reporting processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of information, while managing governance forums such as Working Groups and Design Meetings in collaboration with project managers. In addition, the role focuses on building internal capability by designing and delivering training programs for Project Support Officers, ensuring they can effectively deliver project controls and reporting functions. The Assistant Director develops and maintains robust, fit-for-purpose information systems and datasets aligned with government standards to support planning and delivery. This position also provides leadership and guidance to Project Support Officers, including workload allocation, performance development, and ensuring consistent delivery of project controls across roads infrastructure projects. Eligibility/Other requirements: Highly Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications in administration or project management and/or experience in a project governance environment will be an advantage. A good working knowledge of Objective and Microsoft Office will be an advantage. An understanding of the ACT government business and administrative processes, or equivalent.
