About the opportunity: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Governance Officer to join Council’s Governance, Integrity and Ethics team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Governance Officer, you will deliver high governance support to the organisation and elected officials as well as ensuring better practice corporate governance and legislative compliance. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience. A minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience in a governance role. Experience in complex minute taking and liaising with a broad range of external stakeholders. The ability and commitment to work flexible hours including working evenings at meetings as required. Strong research and analytical skills including the ability to problem solve complex issues and interpret legislation, review and draft policy, and present clearly written reports. Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
