We bring true purpose, authentic people and a proven path. You bring you. The Opportunity As a permanent full time Client Intake Solicitor in our expanding Personal Injury practice in Melbourne, you’ll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice, across a variety of complex matters. As part of your application, you’ll be able to nominate the Shine offices where you’d prefer to work. You can explore our office locations here: https://www.shine.com.au/locations. While personal injury experience is preferable, it's not essential for success - we are open to mentoring an eager Solicitor with a strong understanding of evidence rules, who brings sensitivity and compassion to the table, and is passionate about assisting vulnerable people with achieving justice. With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll truly champion our clients by: Conduct initial client interviews, over the phone or in person, taking detailed notes to capture all key information. Communicate with new clients in a trauma-informed way, ensuring they feel heard while progressing their matters swiftly to our legal team for review. Go through cost agreements carefully with clients, ensuring they clearly understand the process and any associated costs of pursuing a personal injury claim. Draft tailored letters of advice to meet each client’s individual needs. Manage new file openings in Mattersphere and liaise with external stakeholders and referral partners where required. Build and maintain the team’s profile by fostering strong relationships with existing referrers. Work collaboratively with peers to support a positive and professional team environment. Follow case management processes diligently, ensuring all data remains accurate and up to date. What you’ll bring To thrive in this role, you’ll have: Bachelor of Laws and current practising certificate. Pre- or post-admission experience in Personal Injury will make your application competitive. Exceptional attention to detail in utilising a practice management system (i.e., Mattersphere). A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge of, client agreements and other legal documentation. Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma. The ability to analyse claims based in various jurisdictions (with varying legislation). A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results.
