The Opportunity: If you enjoy problem solving, accuracy, and working in a laboratory environment, this role offers a chance to apply those strengths in a practical, hands-on setting. Based in our Coining Division in East Perth, this is a 12-month parental leave contract with an immediate start. You’ll support the Technical Services team by carrying out testing and quality checks that help ensure products meet required standards and production continues to run smoothly. Your role will involve testing coining and blanking products for physical determinants such as white spot and red spot, conducting assay sampling, and reporting results accurately and on time. You’ll generate quality certificates for external products and contribute to R&D and process improvement work, sharing findings with key stakeholders. This is a laboratory-based role working with microscopes, acids, wastewater processes, and specialised equipment, including operating the PVD unit. You’ll also assist with calibration, vapour testing, shower alarm testing, maintaining the SDS database, and supporting production during stocktakes and recoveries. As part of the Emergency Response Team, you’ll help contribute to a safe and compliant site. About You: You’re organised, methodical, and comfortable working in a laboratory or technical environment. You have experience in manufacturing and a solid understanding of quality control and assurance. You’re confident using lab equipment, following procedures, and documenting results accurately. A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is ideal for this role. You communicate clearly, work well with others, and take pride in doing things properly.
