About The Role As our next Asset Specialist, based in our Welshpool office, you will support Australian operations in the development and submission of long-term maintenance plans . This role will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results for our projects. Key responsibilities include: Develop, communicate, and maintain long term maintenance plans in collaboration with site teams, OEMs, and key suppliers Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support timely and cost-effective component supply Ensure assets are maintained in accordance with approved asset strategies to achieve planned life and reliability targets Build and refine bills of materials for strategy tasks, ensuring assets are maintained in line with Thiess’ standards Ensure the CMMS (AMT/JDE) system is used effectively, with accurate and complete maintenance records maintained Identify and deliver planning, technology, asset strategy or project-based improvements that enhance maintenance quality or efficiency, reduce costs, or improve asset reliability About You You will have a clear understanding of the whole of life asset strategy and strong stakeholder management skills. You will also have; Trade qualification / Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience Experience in maintenance operations with large mining equipment Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities for large mining equipment Proficient in MS Office suite Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems Effective communication skills Please note that this role will be a full-time, permanent position and applications for this role will close at midnight on Friday 23 January 2026.
