We are currently implementing a new system for creating staff rosters, managing payroll, and invoicing for NDIS participants. Position Objective The Rostering Lead plays a critical role in supporting the Operations Team with strategic roster management for SIL and community-based NDIS participants. This role also oversees future workforce planning, rostering pools, and transition strategies. As the internal expert, the rostering Partner is the “go-to” person for all rostering knowledge, and we are looking for someone who will is confident in best practice workforce management and coordination. This role is key to our success, by driving rostering effectiveness, and ensuring we meet client needs within assigned budgets. Key Responsibilities Create, publish, and maintain monthly rosters in collaboration with the Transition Manager and Area Managers. Ensure compliance with SCHADS Award, service agreements, and internal rostering processes. Manage daily roster gaps promptly due to illness or cancellations. Develop and administer a roster swap system to minimize disruptions. Handle rostering inquiries via phone and email. Maintain accurate staff and client records in our system. Monitor and report on workforce metrics including overtime, penalties, and staff utilization. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and P&C teams on: Recruitment and onboarding Roster optimization and penalties management Coach and develop new rostering team members and SIL Team Leaders. Embed new processes and tools for continuous improvement. Essential Skills Experience in best practice workforce practices, to enable workforce efficiency and effectively meet client needs within assigned budgets. Relevant industry experience (NDIS or Aged care preferred). Commercially savvy - understands the impact of OT, broken shifts, etc and enables effective systems to manage costs well. Passionate about process improvement / system re-design experience - who will bring fresh ideas and not just go with the "way we have always done it". Multi-client rosters with different support ratios and SCHADS knowledge. Brevity experience is highly beneficial, or Lumary / shift care other relevant system experience is accepted.
