You will work collaboratively with another Youth Support Coordinator (Identified), teaching staff, leadership teams, and community partners to strengthen student engagement, improve attendance, enhance wellbeing, and support strong cultural and academic outcomes for students in Years 7-12. The program is supported by our community partners at Ganbina, and a highly dedicated team of educators and support staff. Your Responsibilities As the Youth Support Coordinator (Identified), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide mentoring, case management and culturally safe wellbeing support to First Nations students. Develop and implement case-management systems that build cultural identity, resilience, social skills, confidence and leadership. Identify barriers to engagement and refer students to appropriate support services. Monitor attendance and implement early intervention strategies for students registered in the Mibiny program. Build strong relationships with students, families, carers, Elders and community organisations. Conduct home visits (where appropriate) to strengthen family engagement and support. Maintain accurate written records of student support, progress and interventions. Support student participation in tutoring, scholarships, cultural activities, leadership programs and pathway planning. Collaborate with teaching and support staff to enhance student wellbeing, engagement and outcomes. Conduct home visits with students and their families, as appropriate, to advise and provide strategies for a more positive educational experience.
