Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to support and guide the delivery of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality systems across a newly acquired government services portfolio. Reporting to the Contract Director, you will work closely with client representatives, operational teams, and subcontractors to ensure compliance, manage risk, and promote a positive safety culture. The ideal candidate is collaborative, attentive to detail, and passionate about embedding quality and safety into everyday operations. Key Responsibilities Quality & Assurance Support Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO standards Conduct audits, reviews, and support non-conformance resolution Maintain clear, accurate documentation, forms, and procedures Health & Safety Coordination Ensure adherence to legislation, codes of practice, and BGIS safety frameworks Support contractor and workforce safety, including SWMS, inductions, and training Encourage a proactive safety culture and participate in safety initiatives Incident Response & Improvement Help manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions Provide insights and updates for governance and operational forums Contribute to timely reporting to regulators when required Digital Support & Reporting Use BGIS Connect, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric to support safety performance monitoring Assist with Power Automate workflows to streamline HSEQ processes Ensure clear, accurate, and auditable reporting of safety and quality data Training, Risk & Stakeholder Collaboration Coordinate training programs, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions Maintain and support the safety and quality risk registers Collaborate with operational teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to promote safe practices Continuous Improvement Support initiatives that enhance safety culture and quality of service Share lessons learned and support adoption of digital tools to improve processes Education, Experience & Skills Essential Tertiary qualifications in OHS, Quality, Risk Management, or related field Experience in safety and quality management within FM, construction, infrastructure, or operational environments Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and relevant safety legislation Experience with incident management and resolution Comfortable using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Automate for reporting and workflow Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with government portfolios or multi-site operational contracts Desirable Auditing qualifications (Lead Auditor preferred) Experience with contractor management and critical risk programs Technical FM background Workplace Flexibility Based at our Melbourne CBD office – close to public transport. After training / probation, the position transitions to a hybrid arrangement ( 2 days WFH, 3 days office). This role is within Core business hours with some flexibility but may require ad hoc additional hours on an as-needed basis. There will be occasional site visits across Melbourne CBD. Why Join BGIS?
