Your Impact: You will play a hands-on role in supporting Asahi Beverages’ Growth agenda by ensuring the Head Office sensory facility operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Through your work, you will support liquid development tasting needs across Oceania and contribute to the delivery of best-practice Consumer Science and Sensory testing methodologies. Your contribution will directly support Innovation, New Product Development, Quality Improvement, and Value Optimisation initiatives across the business. This role sits at the heart of how products are experienced, evaluated, and improved. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the purchase, delivery, preparation, and management of research samples and laboratory supplies Maintain and manage the sensory facility, ensuring adherence to food safety, hygiene, and safety requirements Create, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures for the safe and effective running of the sensory laboratory Coordinate panel and project-specific tasting schedules and laboratory-based research assessments Support sensory data documentation, entry, collation, and analysis request processes, including use of sensory software systems (e.g. EyeQuestion) Support liquid development tastings and ad hoc consumer and sensory research activities Assist with maintaining panel engagement and effective working relationships between tasters, liquid developers, and the Consumer Science team Maintain supplier relationships with laboratory suppliers and research partners to support business needs About You: Degree qualified in Food Science, Sensory Science, Psychology, Behavioural Science, or a related scientific discipline (highly desirable but not essential) 1-2 years of demonstrated knowledge of food safety principles, including beverages, with a strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and following defined processes and procedures Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems Able to work with both quantitative and qualitative data and support basic reporting and analysis Curious, open-minded, and comfortable working in situations with ambiguity and change Strong stakeholder relationship skills with clear, professional written and verbal communication Current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for ad hoc sample procurement Why Asahi Beverages?
