Position Overview MW Civil is seeking a qualified and experienced Drainer to support ongoing civil construction projects. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing stormwater, sewer, and subsoil drainage systems essential to civil infrastructure works. Duties and Responsibilities Interpret civil and hydraulic drawings, drainage plans, and specifications to determine pipe routes, grades, and installation requirements Set out drainage systems by establishing correct lines, levels, and falls using laser levels and surveying equipment Excavate trenches and drainage pits using hand tools and plant equipment in accordance with project and safety requirements Install stormwater, sewer, and subsoil drainage systems for civil construction projects, including roads, subdivisions, and commercial developments Cut, join, lay, and seal pipes constructed from PVC, concrete, and other approved materials Install drainage structures such as pits, manholes, inspection openings, headwalls, grates, and culverts Backfill and compact trenches to engineering specifications Test drainage systems to ensure correct operation, flow, and compliance with Australian Standards and local authority regulations Diagnose drainage faults and carry out repairs or replacements as required Ensure all drainage works comply with relevant Australian Standards, environmental requirements, and workplace health and safety legislation Maintain tools, plant, and equipment used in drainage works Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project delivery Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification Minimum of 2-3 years relevant on-site experience in civil drainage works Proven experience working on civil construction projects Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical documentation Strong understanding of safety procedures and quality control standards Current driver's licence Employment Conditions Full-time position Ongoing work aligned with MW Civil's civil construction project pipeline Competitive remuneration based on skills and experience Salary : $80,000 to $90,000 super If you are interested, please send your application ASAP!
