About The Role The Financial Analyst plays a key role in providing financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The analyst partners closely with business leaders and project teams to ensure financial performance is well understood and aligned with corporate objectives. The role reports to Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis The Financial Analyst Will Have The Following Responsibilities Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting key financial and operational metrics Assist with developing, maintaining and analysing budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial models Develop and maintain financial reports/dashboards using PowerBI that align with business requirements Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis to explain performance against budget and forecast Preparing segment reports such as gross margin, utilisation and day's receivables outstanding reports Assist in improving financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency Perform regular SG&A analysis with a view of reducing SG&A costs across the Australian businesses Various reporting including, trend analysis and other ad-hoc reporting Other ad-hoc responsibilities Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
