THE POSITION The Science Laboratory Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency and proper functioning of the science laboratories. This includes managing lab procedures, assisting in practical classes, handling and storing chemicals safely, maintain lab equipment and supporting the science faculty through the integration of new technologies. ABOUT YOU In addition to being able to undertake the Key Responsibilities indicated in the position description, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound responses to the following selection criteria : Essential Experienced and passionate science enthusiast with a strong understanding of fundamental scientific principals and laboratory practices Sound interpersonal and communication skills Proven time management skills and an exceptional approach to proactivity Able to confidently and assist young people in the safe use of equipment Problem solving skills Desirable Experience working in a school setting or with young people All employees are subject to appropriate employment and compliance checks prior to and during employment.
