Modern Olives Laboratory is searching for an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to deliver test results in accordance with NATA, TGA and ISO guidelines. The Laboratory Supervisor will collaborate with the Technical Team to research and develop tests within specific time requirements. The Role The role will be based at the Modern Olives Laboratory in Lara, 20 minutes from Geelong CBD. This role will report to the Laboratory Manager. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following activities: Follow established procedures or protocols and utilise accurate techniques which may include basic titrations, spectrophotometric techniques, gravimetric method and other chemical specific olive oil and olive derivatives techniques to provide insights to our customer base Provide strong and dependable leadership to the laboratory team To develop and promote olive oil and olive derivatives research Operate new and accurate laboratory equipment such as GC, HPLC, GCMS Document and record accurate data using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Complete relevant QC records pertaining to the calibration, validation and maintenance of equipment, and the continuous training of employees Ensure that analytical work is undertaken in accordance with company, customer and industry safety and QA Standards. Follow protocols, maintain records in accordance with NATA, TGA and ISO guidelines Skills & Experience The role will ideally suit someone who genuinely enjoys loves being a specialist in a laboratory environment. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and willingness to continue to learn coupled with the following experience and attributes including, but not limited too: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Food or Chemistry preferred but not essential.
