Your role at St John of God Wagga Wagga We are seeking applications for an Exercise Physiologist to join our new Mental Health service in Wagga Wagga, on a permanent part-time basis. This is a rare opportunity to be an integral part of a groundbreaking initiative. You'll join a dedicated, collaborative team in a purpose-built community setting, working within a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed model of care. The Position Provides a senior level of clinical care to deliver high quality, compassionate, competent clinical services within a range of settings, i.e. inpatient, outpatient, or home/community-based services. Prescribes, delivers and supervises individual and group remedial and maintenance exercise programs for patients at an advanced level attending the service, including but not limited to gym and hydrotherapy. Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation. Patients’ rehabilitation plans and outcomes are regularly monitored through attendance at and participation in clinical team meetings as required. Active participation in the multidisciplinary team. Successful applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science or similar, and be eligible for accreditation with the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). We are looking for someone with clinical experience in a specialised area of practice within a healthcare or disability services setting.
