As part of this journey, we’re looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our supportive team at our Dandenong South depot. In this hands-on role, you’ll bring your technical expertise to projects that are shaping Australia’s Net Zero future. You’ll work on meaningful initiatives that make a real difference, while collaborating with a team that values safety, inclusion, and shared success. Most projects are medium to long-term across Victoria, and overtime is paid at penalty rates. Key Responsibilities include Plan and lead testing and commissioning activities for brownfield and greenfield 22kV–500kV Substation projects Coordinate outage activities with a strong focus on safety and teamwork Monitor progress and keep projects aligned with commissioning schedules Conduct Protection & Control relay testing Perform IEC61850 system testing Carry out Primary Plant testing & commissioning Manage drawings, ITPs, defects, and RFIs Support and mentor junior team members to help them grow About You You’re an experienced commissioning professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and working collaboratively. To succeed, you’ll bring: Significant experience in brownfield and greenfield substation projects Advanced Diploma of ESI Power Systems or an Electrical Engineering Degree Strong background in ESI testing and commissioning Experience within Australian transmission/distribution networks Proficiency with Doble and/or Omicron secondary injection test equipment and other primary plant test tools Familiarity with IEC61850 projects (desirable but not essential) Relevant training and authorisations in line with VESI standards (desirable) Why you should work for us What we do matters.
