We are offering an opportunity to be the first Compliance and Building Officer at Council to join our new Private Works Compliance team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, proactive and responsive building and land-use compliance services across the private domain. You’ll provide clear, timely and effective advice to the community, business operators, developers and contractors supporting them to understand and meet their obligations while encouraging early corrective action. This position plays a vital role in maintaining safety, environmental protection and regulatory compliance across our region focusing on private works and activity. You will have responsibility for ensuring compliance with a range of legislation including the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, Building Code of Australia, Swimming Pools Act, and the Protection of the Environment Operations Act.
