The National Trust of Australia (Queensland) (NTAQ) is seeking a C ontent & Communications Lead to shape and deliver compelling storytelling, media engagement and corporate communications across our iconic portfolio, including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Astra Lumina, and the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. About the Role Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Content & Communications Lead is responsible for delivering strategic PR campaigns, media engagement and corporate communications that enhance brand visibility, strengthen reputation and elevate our tourism profile. This role leads day-to-day communications across Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Astra Lumina and the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, ensuring messaging aligns with our not-for-profit purpose and conservation mission. You will develop and pitch compelling stories, manage media relationships, support spokespeople and deliver high-quality written content across multiple platforms. You will work closely with internal teams to uncover stories that matter, from new attractions and experiences to conservation milestones and translate them into meaningful, engaging narratives for media, partners and the public. In this role, you will also support a small team, fostering collaboration, creativity and accountability. Working closely with marketing, sales and operational teams, you will contribute to broader marketing campaigns that drive visitation and commercial performance across our attractions and experiences. At the same time, you will play a critical role in elevating our mission-based storytelling, ensuring our conservation, wildlife care and community impact remain at the heart of how we connect with audiences. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and proactive communications professional who thrives in fast-paced, purpose-led environments. You bring strong writing skills, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships with media, stakeholders and internal teams. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in public relations, communications or media roles Strong media relations experience, including pitching and securing coverage Exceptional writing and editing skills across press releases, web content, blogs, eDMs and social copy Experience working across multiple brands or portfolios (tourism or attractions experience highly regarded) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities A collaborative, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for storytelling An interest in conservation, wildlife, tourism or purpose-led organisations. PR, Communications or Marketing Qualification will be highly regarded. Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that has native wildlife such as birds and reptiles and support coverage across weekends and public holidays.
