Description: About The Role We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Director, Strategy, Performance & Sustainability for a 12-month maternity leave cover. Reporting to the Executive Group Director, Business Strategy & Corporate Services, this role has national accountability for advancing our strategic agenda, measuring performance and outcomes, and embedding sustainability across everything we do. You will provide senior leadership across strategy, performance measurement, sustainability and external communications—ensuring Housing Choices Australia continues to deliver against its Five-Year Strategic Plan and can clearly demonstrate impact for residents, communities and stakeholders. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who excels at translating vision into action, maintaining momentum through change, and partnering with executives to deliver organisation-wide outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Leading the delivery, monitoring and refinement of HCA’s Five-Year Strategic Plan and annual business planning processes Embedding strategic objectives into operational plans and monitoring progress through dashboards and reporting for the Executive and Board Leading organisation-wide performance and outcomes measurement frameworks Driving the integration of sustainability goals, practices and reporting into strategic and operational plans Maintaining momentum on HCA’s sustainability development goals and reporting frameworks Overseeing external communications, brand and advocacy strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders Leading, supporting and motivating a high-performing national team Building strong executive and cross-functional partnerships to deliver strategic outcomes Click here to view the Position Description (Please note: SEEK applicants only - if you are viewing this job advert on SEEK you will not be able to view the position description until you click APPLY) Skills and Experiences: You are a confident, collaborative and future-focused leader with a strong track record in strategy, performance and governance, and the ability to step into a senior role and add value quickly. You will bring: Senior experience leading strategy, performance measurement and organisational planning Proven ability to deliver and report on strategic plans in complex environments Strong understanding of governance, accountability and performance management Experience embedding sustainability principles into business strategy and operations Highly developed communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills Ability to work with agility across competing priorities at an executive level Relevant tertiary qualifications in strategy, business, governance, project management or a related field Experience in community housing, government, not-for-profit or regulated sectors is highly regarded.
