We are supporting a client who is building out their security and monitoring capability, and is now looking to add a permanent SIEM Integration Engineer to their cyber security team. This role suits someone who comes from a strong networking and infrastructure background and has some exposure to security tooling, visibility, and operational integration. The client is specifically looking for hands-on engineers who understand how enterprise environments The role You will be responsible for integrating network, security, cloud and endpoint data sources into a central SIEM platform, ensuring reliable log ingestion, meaningful alerts and operational readiness. You will work closely with network, infrastructure and security teams to support incident response and ongoing improvements across the environment. This is a practical, engineering role rather than a purely analytical or governance-focused position. Experience Required We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience across most of the following areas: Networking Enterprise networking experience (Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, WLC) Strong understanding of routing, switching, DNS and network security concepts Experience integrating network devices with security monitoring platforms Endpoint and systems Microsoft environments including Active Directory, O365, Azure, SCCM and Entra Endpoint administration and operational support Understanding how endpoint and server telemetry feeds into SIEM tooling Operations Experience working in ITIL-based environments Exposure to tools such as ServiceNow, AutoTask or similar Major incident response, change management and technical documentation Knowledge in Security solutions Some exposure to working with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, Elastic or similar Hands-on firewall experience (Palo Alto, ASA, Panorama, Cortex or equivalent) Identity and access integrations (Active Directory, Entra ID, ISE) Log onboarding, tuning and troubleshooting from multiple security sources Ideal background This role is well-suited to candidates currently working as: Network Engineer Security Engineer Systems Engineer Infrastructure Engineer Security Operations / SOC Engineer Particularly those who enjoy integration work and improving visibility across complex environments.
