Job Description The Energy Solutions team is seeking a Melbourne-based Business Development Manager – eMobility to help grow Ampol’s electric vehicle charging business. This role is accountable for originating, structuring, and closing complex enterprise eMobility deals, selling Ampol’s end-to-end charging infrastructure and technology solutions across home, workplace, depot, and public charging environments. The role is highly externally focused and requires proactive market engagement, disciplined pipeline creation, and the ability to convert early-stage customer interest into contracted revenue in a developing and fast-moving market. As part of Australia’s transition to cleaner transport, the role supports the expansion of Ampol’s charging ecosystem and decarbonisation efforts. the role requires staying across Ampol’s evolving eMobility offerings and clearly communicating their value to customers. Key responsibilities: Lead end-to-end sales delivery for enterprise EV charging solutions, including origination, negotiation, execution, installation, and ongoing account management. Proactively originate new enterprise opportunities through direct customer engagement, market networking, and partner channels, maintaining a strong focus on deal velocity and conversion. Build and influence senior-level relationships with developers, asset owners, fleet operators, procurement leaders, and executive stakeholders to position Ampol as the preferred long-term charging and energy transition partner. Lead executive-level customer engagements, including C-suite presentations and investment discussions, translating complex technical and commercial concepts into clear, compelling value propositions. Drive sales efficiency and growth by streamlining lead generation, accelerating time-to-close, and contributing to effective sales strategies aligned with industry best practice. Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders, including B2B sales, deployment teams, and hardware and software partners, to secure and deliver successful deals. Provide market and competitive insight, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings and feeding customer, landlord, and market intelligence into sales and marketing teams.
