The Impact You'll Make As a Commercial Analyst , you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making across the Structures (Telco, Lighting, and Utility) business. Working as a trusted business partner, you will provide detailed financial analysis, commercial insights, and forecasting support to key stakeholders. You will act as the primary link between Finance and the broader business, and ensure financial objectives are aligned with operational and strategic goals. This is a highly visible, hands-on role with influence across planning, performance, and profitability initiatives. Business Partnering Act as the key finance contact for the business, enabling clear communication and strong financial understanding across teams. Provide commercial support to management through analysis, modelling, and insights to improve financial performance. Facilitate budget development and perform regular financial performance reviews with management. Provide sales and margin reporting to ensure alignment with targets. Support sales teams with financial inputs for tenders and contract management, including rise and fall calculations. Reporting & Analysis Monitor and track weekly sales and financial performance against targets, identifying variances and trends. Track and report on key KPIs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Monitor market drivers impacting profitability, such as steel, freight, and zinc pricing. Planning & Forecasting Prepare accurate and timely monthly forecasts incorporating current business and market insights. Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, ensuring alignment with business strategy. Support strategic planning activities through scenario modelling and long-term forecasting. Develop and maintain robust financial models to support planning and decision-making. Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and alignment. Identify financial risks and opportunities and support the development of mitigation plans. What You'll Bring 7 years' experience in commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification (highly regarded). Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Well-developed financial and commercial acumen with a strong understanding of business operations. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders. High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis. Proficiency in financial systems and analytical tools (ERP, reporting platforms, Power BI). QAD highly regarded.
