The Opportunity In this newly developed role, you will be entering a crucial position responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will support management in strategic decision making by providing valuable financial insights, and developing strategies to optimise the company’s financial performance. In this hands-on role, you will manage daily and monthly reporting, you will lead and mentor our Finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high team performance. Key Responsibilities Key responsibility over the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Manage and revision of all month-end reporting processes, including GL reconciliations and preparation of the financial reporting pack for the Board of Directors. Review of payroll reporting and compliance. Prepare tax compliance lodgements. Oversee the statutory reporting process under Australian Accounting Standards for multiple entities, including liaison with auditors. Continually maintain and review financial requirements for AFSL and other regulatory bodies (including RG166 reporting). Assist with analysis and development of budgeting and forecasting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new or proposed accounting standards and ASIC regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, financial institutions, regulatory providers, and clients. Requirements We are looking for a collaborative Finance Manager who has the ability to adapt in a changing environment and can successfully engage with stakeholders at all levels. Our ideal candidate will have: Qualified CA/CPA with a relevant tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance/accounting role. Proven experience with complex reconciliations. Commercially oriented, insightful, and illustrates curiosity. Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficient in financial management systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred but not essential) and Advanced Excel skills.
