Your new opportunityQueensland Treasury is seeking dynamic Principal Treasury Analysts to join the newly established Financial Efficiencies team. With multiple vacancies available, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team and contribute to Queensland's economic recovery and long-term economic strategy. You will provide expert advice and analysis on expenditure, financial performance, and value-for-money initiatives. In this role, you will work in a complex and diverse policy environment, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop and oversee strategies thatachieve efficiencies in expenditure and operations across the Queensland Government. You will provide high-level advice and deliver tailored, concise, and accurate reports to support policy development and the implementation of efficiency measures. In this role, you will:- Provide strategic advice, information, and support to clients and senior executives regarding whole-of-government expenditure, financial performance, and related policy matters.- Offer guidance on risk identification, management, and evaluation of best practice financial strategies and policies.- Lead the development and implementation of processes to monitor, analyse, and interpret agencies' budget and financial information.- Manage complex client requirements with sound judgement, authority, and influence.- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, negotiating favourable outcomes on challenging issues.- Represent Treasury on internal and external committees and working groups, and support senior executives in ministerial briefings.- Prepare and deliver highly complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence within tight deadlines.- Contribute to organisational strategy, direction, and initiatives.
