As part of our newly established Financial Efficiencies team, you will play a pivotal role in analysing and advising on expenditure, financial performance, and value for money. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that enhance operational and financial efficiencies across the Queensland Government. You will work in a dynamic and complex policy environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver highquality advice and solutions. In this role, you will:- Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy documents, and presentations related to financial performance and policy matters.- Monitor, analyse, and interpret agencies' financial and budget information, data, and performance.- Support the development, preparation, and reporting of operational and financial efficiency measures, and contribute to related policy development.- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Represent the Financial Efficiencies team at internal and external committees, interdepartmental working groups, and other forums as required. What experience you will bring:To succeed in this role, you will bring:- Sound experience in the interpretation and application of legislation and government policies.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Effective stakeholder management skills.- Strong research and problem-solving skills relating to legislation and governance issues, including preparation and analysis of strategic policy advice.- Effective organisational skills, including the ability to work independently on complex, time-sensitive tasks in a government policy environment.- Strong judgement, communication, and understanding of diverse perspectives in developing solutions and working collaboratively with others.
