About the role – Maximum Term Full Time Contract for 12 Months As a Senior Payroll Officer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant and timely fortnightly payroll across the organisation. Acting as a subject matter expert, you’ll manage end-to-end payroll processing, oversee complex calculations and ensure data integrity across systems. You’ll provide trusted advice to managers and employees, support complex payroll matters, and coach Payroll Officers to build capability across the team. Working closely with the Manager, Payroll, you’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, strengthening payroll governance and ensuring compliance with awards, legislation and internal controls. About you: You’re an experienced payroll professional who thrives on accuracy, problem-solving and getting things right. With strong end-to-end payroll experience, you’re confident navigating complex calculations, awards and legislation, and you stay calm and focused under pressure. You enjoy being a go-to person for advice, value strong relationships with stakeholders, and take pride in supporting and mentoring others in the team. Above all, you bring a proactive, detail-driven approach and a genuine commitment to delivering a reliable, compliant payroll experience for employees. You will also have the following skills and experience: Qualifications at Diploma level will be viewed favourably (but not essential) Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll functions Experience processing medium to large payroll from beginning to end Experience working in organisation with multiple awards and enterprise agreements Why work with us?
