We are seeking a Senior Metallurgist to optimise metallurgical processes and plant performance to maximise gold recovery and production efficiency at our Leonora Operation. Reporting to the Metallurgical Superintendent, you will work an 8 days on, 6 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster FIFO from Perth to Leonora or DIDO from Kalgoorlie. The Opportunity: Supervise and mentor metallurgy and laboratory team by providing training and technical support to meet operational requirement including setting goals and priorities for the team. Lead the metallurgy team to monitor, analyse and provide recommended actions on metallurgical performance to ensure key process information are communicated and identified to relevant stakeholder in a timely manner. Develop strategies for process optimisation based on data analysis and metallurgical testing. Lead the metallurgy team to address and investigate process operational issues and collaborate with operation teams to implement corrective actions. Optimise plant operations including reagent usage through continuous coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and supervise metallurgy team in completing plant investigative test work and process improvement projects. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of production daily, weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting. Identify and coordinate improvement projects within the process plant regarding safety, production, and cost to allow department targets to be met. We’re excited to hear from you if you have: Tertiary Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering Sound demonstrated mineral processing experience in the gold industry Exposure to grinding circuits Exposure to metallurgical testing and survey techniques Working application of Citect and Pronto.
