Your key responsibilities: Provide advice to internal and external clients on ICT security issues within DoJ. Contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of ICT security policies and practices within DoJ. Manage and maintain DoJ ICT gateway security services including departmental firewalls, antivirus, internet and email proxy services and content filtering, intrusion prevention system and DMZ environment. Develop and implement security measures to protect DoJ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and applications. Conduct security risk assessments to identify internal and external threats to DoJ ICT and develop and implement processes to address these. Conduct gap analyses of DoJ ICT security and implement strategies to address any areas of concern identified. Promote security awareness in line with industry best practice and departmental policies. Assist the Principal Security Engineer in the development and review of Business proposals and projects from an information security perspective. Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability: This role requires you to work with limited supervision in a specialist team and requires you to liaise with and build productive relationships with stakeholders within the branch and across the agency. Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand Information Security Standards and Risk Management methodologies in relation to preparing security policies and procedures. High level experience, responsibility, skill and knowledge in computer and network security. Works on multiple activities simultaneously and adjusts priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. * Establishes and maintain working relationships with team and internal and external stakeholders.
