Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital You will be committed to provide leadership and management of the hospital outside working hours. The Supervisor will facilitate the continuation and honor the Mission of the Sisters of St John of God through the provision of high quality, compassionate and distinctive care for our patients and their families. Acts as a role model for nursing staff by coordinating theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and by being available as a resource person for management, clinical and social issues. Evaluates the clinical expertise of staff and assigns responsibility accordingly. Accepts accountability for storage and usage of Drugs of Addiction and medication by ensuring compliance with government regulations and Nurses’ Board Policy. Attends Senior Nurses meetings and contributes to the management and on-going development of the hospital. Ensures adequate supplies are available for staff and that equipment is in working order. Evaluates new products and makes appropriate recommendations to management. Accepts responsibility for staffing levels with a rostering system which provides adequate nursing hours per patient and a cost effective nursing establishment. You will have Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), as a Registered Nurse and current FIM credentialing. To succeed you will have to demonstrate broad range of clinical knowledge and recent experience and middle management skills Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values. We can offer you Salary $126,343 to $132,359 (pro rata basis for part time) plus 12% superannuation Permanent part time role, working up to 40 hours a fortnight.
