Your new role: As an Advanced Allied Health Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting high-quality patient care within the Nutrition and Dietetics team, providing advanced clinical assistance and coordination under the direction of allied health professionals. This role will work under the direction of the Senior Mental Health Dietitian and provide services to patients admitted to PAH Addiction and Mental Health Unit. In this role, you will: Supervise and coordinate allied health assistants working within Nutrition and Dietetics. Contribute to interprofessional teams through communication, feedback, case discussions and collaborative service delivery. Prepare and /or implement individual or group treatment programs for patients with complex conditions under the supervision and direction of the therapists and report on patient performance as required. About you: You will be a motivated and collaborative allied health assistant who is passionate about delivering safe, person-centred care and supporting patients within addiction and mental health settings. You will bring: Demonstrated experience delivering advanced delegated clinical interventions and supporting patients with complex needs. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team and operate clearly within your scope of practice. Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changes in service demand. A commitment to high-quality, accurate work and continuous improvement, alongside the ability to support, mentor and guide less experienced assistants.
