Your new role: As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced leadership to the Central Sterilising Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient sterilisation services that support exceptional patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Leading and coordinating the Central Sterilising Department, ensuring best practice in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices. Overseeing human, material and financial resources, ensuring efficient and sustainable service delivery. Driving quality, safety, and service improvement activities aligned with organisational standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. Fostering a positive, collaborative team culture that supports education, capability development and succession planning across the workforce. About you: You are an experienced nursing leader with advanced clinical knowledge in sterilisation services and the capability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary team in a complex clinical environment. You will bring: Advanced specialist knowledge and experience in sterilisation services, reprocessing standards, and evidence-informed practice. Demonstrated capability in operational leadership, including HR management, rostering, and resource optimisation. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build team engagement and lead change. A strategic, improvement-focused mindset, with experience implementing quality, safety, and service-improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
